Choose to Live a Life That Matters

Scriptures

There are many Biblical passages that apply to this idea of changing our thoughts and thus changing our lives. Here are a few that have impacted me over the years.

Psalm 1:1-3 “How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season. Its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers.”

Galatians 6:7  “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.”

Romans 12:2  “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Matthew 4:17 “From that time Jesus began to preach and say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (The word ‘repent’ is used many times in the New Testament of the Bible. It means to change the way we think which then results in changing what we do and how we live.)

Colossians 3:2 “Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.”

Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.”
